I’m Jessica, the founder of The Held Co. I’m so glad you are here!

I created The Held Co. because I believe God did not design us to walk through life alone. We were created for fellowship, encouragement, and community.

In a world where so many women feel lonely, overwhelmed, or disconnected, I wanted to create something that reminds us we are not walking alone, and community can be built.

The idea began when I was talking to my sweet friend who was sharing her disappointment with a mailed art subscription. I heard myself say again for um-th time, “wouldn’t it be nice to have something like that for women in faith.” I thought about it a little more over the next few days. Then my husband asked me to watch a video. It highlighted a woman who has a letter subscription business. Over the next week I had conversations with my husband, some friends, and many conversations with God. Over the next few weeks filled with late nights, conversations, prayer, and seeking God, The Held Co. was formed.

My Story

Before The Held Co. existed, Before The Held Co. existed, my days looked much like they do now. Caring for my family of six, homeschooling our children, facilitating a fellowship, and working on various projects along the way.

For years, I found myself searching for books, artwork, resources, and encouragement that reflected my faith and pointed me back to God’s Word.

One thing God continually placed on my heart was women’s ministry and fellowship.

I began noticing that women around me were longing for quality spiritual friendships, opportunities to slow down, and desire to be in the word of God, just like me. 

I wanted to create a place where women could slow down, to be intentional with connection, even in their few spare moments.

So I started creating the rough draft of the first letter. One of my biggest insecurities was wondering, “What voice do I have as a writer? What do I have to say?” But the Lord was faithful. Once I began writing, He gave me more words than I knew what to do with.

What began as a thing said to a friend has grown into this vision of The Held Co. Looking back I see where God has been laying the groundwork for this place to come together. HE IS SO GOOD TO ME.

At The Held Co., I believe

✨ Women need spiritual connection.

✨ God’s Word is meant to be shared and cherished.

✨ Fellowship and friendship grow when we reach out to one another and serve each other.

✨ Small moments of intentionality can help us slow down, be strengthened, and return our hearts to Him.

My hope is that every letter, connection card, recipe, and little gift you receive reminds you:

You are held by the Almighty.

→ A little encouragement waiting in your mailbox—written to help you slow down, open God's Word, and remember you're not walking alone.

→ A verse to hang up, tuck into a book, or pass along to a friend, to keep God's word close and hide it in our hearts.

A Held Together Card
→ A couple of questions to help you draw closer to God, connect with yourself, and deepen friendships.

A recipe to share
→ A simple recipe to gather around, where some of God's sweetest gifts are found in good food and meaningful conversations.

A sticker or small gift
→ A little reminder to decorate the things you love and keep God's truth close wherever life takes you.

Each piece is thoughtfully created to help you slow down, connect with God, yourself, and hopefully others.

My heart behind the details

I believe beauty matters because God is the creator of beauty, and we reflect His creativity when we create with care and intention.

I believe written words matter because it allows the Holy Spirit to move through us and be heard by others to reach hearts, strengthen relationships, and remind us of His truth.

I believe gathering around a table matters because it is a necessity that can bring life, joy, and quality connection.

I believe hiding God’s Word in our hearts matters because as scripture says “... that I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11

Our Foundation

Everything created through The Held Co. flows from my deep desire to encourage women to seek God, treasure His Word, and build meaningful fellowship with one another.

At the heart of The Held Co. is the belief that we are held by God’s faithfulness, strengthened by His Word, and blessed through meaningful fellowship with one another.

A little more about me

When I’m not creating for The Held Co., you’ll probably find me cooking or cleaning.

A few things I love:

My favorite simple joys are popcorn in bed and individual boxes of raisins (especially yogurt-covered ones).

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6. And that when you set your letter down my prayer is that you feel at peace, encouraged,and a renewed joy.
